Get Organized with iGoogle

The School of the Future

The school of the future will require the use of 21st century skill. Technology and the Web will be fully integrated into the teaching and learning process. As a teacher you have to be prepared to make this shift. A combination of traditional face-to-face learning and Web based instruction should be blended together. Teaching using traditional methods will not prepare your students for today's world. The classroom will become student centered and the role of the teacher will change. But the teacher will continue to remain the key component in the educational process. You can choose to sit back and let this happen or you can take an active part.

The Internet certainly is a wonderful place for learning. All the tools and information you need are available. Through experience and practice your classes can truly be enhanced with the use of the Web. To be successful you need to be flexible, creative, and persistent. If you are to be a successful teacher you must foster these habits in your students and yourself. “A man can be as great as he wants to be. If you believe in yourself and have the courage, the determination, the dedication, the competitive drive and if you are willing to sacrifice the little things in life and pay the price for the things that are worthwhile, it can be done.” Vince Lombardi
